Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is to re-appraise all buildings placed in the Historic property program every five (5) years.
We remain committed to offering the most comprehensive policy form for historic property owners while remaining competitive, and this process is the cornerstone to our sustainability. Collectively, we will develop a strategy with our agents and clients to secure limits of insurance that reach appraised values. Once we get to appraised limits we are able to offer additional coverage enhancements, such as Guaranteed Replacement Cost.
A finished PDF of the appraisal is provided 30 days after the on-site visit or completion of the virtual appraisal interview.
Not necessarily. We typically appraise all buildings above $500,000 in value. However, if multiple buildings are located at a single location, we may appraise structures below this limit. Generally, we will not appraise the secondary structures.
Absolutely! The Insured can purchase an appraisal from HAS directly. The Insured is invoiced once the appraisal is complete.
A member of the HAS team will contact the Insured within 45 days of the effective date of their policy. Our goal is to have an appointment scheduled within 60 days of initial contact. The appraisal process should be complete within 120 days from the effective date.
